The Star of the Magi is the name for the celestial event described in the second chapter of Matthew, including both the Star in the East, described in Matthew 2:2, and the Star of Bethlehem, described in Matthew 2:9.
The Magi Star is the name of the project begun by J. Caleb Jones to tell the story of the Star of the Magi.
The approach of The Magi Star is simple but unique. The powerful tools of astronomical simulators are combined with an ancient and classical understanding of the sky to uncover the ordinary meaning of a confusing text. By carefully reviewing the biblical text, contemporaneous classical histories, and classical astronomical and astrological texts, The Magi Star is able to explain every aspect of the Star of the Magi.
Currently, The Magi Star is a small operation, consisting of what you see on this website, but the goal is to spread the truth of the Star of the Magi to the ends of the earth. If you would like to see more, please donate to support this effort and register for updates by using the following link.
